About Leroy Wiseman
Leroy is a psychotherapist with a special interest in supporting adolescents, young adults and adults.
He works with anxiety, depression, anger and emotional regulation, relationships and family difficulties, life transitions, men's mental health, childhood trauma and attachment wounds.
His relational, humanistic approach is informed by interpersonal neurobiology and integrates IFS, Person-Centred Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and mindfulness.
He works collaboratively rather than applying a fixed approach, helping clients develop self-compassion, emotional flexibility and meaningful relationships.
Drawing on over a decade of mindfulness practice and a background in philosophy, he also supports exploration of identity, values and meaning.
Leroy holds a Master of Psychotherapy and Counselling and a Bachelor of Social Science in Philosophy, and is a certified practising PACFA member.
Before private practice he co-created and led the Open Up youth suicide-prevention program with One Eighty Inc.
He has delivered training in suicide prevention, communication, healthy relationships, men's mental health, group facilitation and mindfulness.
