Assessments

Adult assessment

Diagnostic and learning assessment options for adults seeking a clearer understanding of longstanding difficulties or current support needs.

01

Who it may help

Adult assessment may help investigate attention, learning, cognitive or developmental questions that affect study, employment, relationships or day-to-day functioning. It can also explore possible specific learning disorders and patterns that may not have been recognised earlier in life.

02

What the process may include

The agreed process may include clinical interviews, relevant developmental, educational and work history, standardised assessment tools, questionnaires and review of previous reports. Information from another person is only sought where useful and with your consent.

03

What you receive

The clinician discusses the findings with you and may provide a written report with an explanation and practical recommendations. The scope, suitability and possible outcomes are clarified before the assessment begins.
