Assessments

ADHD assessment

A careful assessment for children, adolescents or adults when attention, activity levels, impulsivity or executive functioning are affecting daily life.

01

Who it may help

An ADHD assessment may help investigate longstanding questions about attention, organisation, working memory, restlessness, impulsivity and their effect at home, school, study, work or in relationships. The clinic confirms the appropriate scope and whether this assessment is suitable before proceeding.

02

What the process may include

The process may include clinical interviews, developmental and educational history, standardised questionnaires, review of relevant previous reports, and information from a parent, partner, teacher or other professional where appropriate and with consent.

03

What you receive

The clinician explains the findings and may provide a written report with observations and recommendations suited to the agreed assessment question. An assessment does not guarantee an ADHD diagnosis; findings may identify other explanations or recommend further investigation.
