About Joe Tighe
Joe is a registered psychologist originally from Ireland.
In the Kimberley, Western Australia, he co-founded the award-winning Alive & Kicking Goals! suicide-prevention project in 2008.
He has worked in not-for-profit and private-hospital settings across trauma, addiction and mood disorders, and as an ASIST suicide-prevention trainer.
He completed a PhD at UNSW / Black Dog Institute based on a trial of the ibobbly suicide-prevention app and is a member of the Reachout.com Clinical Advisory Group.
His respectful, trauma-informed work centres on clients' immediate needs, values and priorities, with practical, solution-focused support and ACT/mindfulness.
